Installation consists of 100 m long zip line, 480 frames printed on a 100 meter long banner hanged parallel to it. A 100 long barrier fence is set between the print and the zip line to allow the animation to occur. Once the speed of the zip line accelerates, the still frames turn into an animation in the eyes of the viewers.

Zip Line Zoetrope

Immersive Experience

Creative / Concept / Deign / Production / Animation

Jerusalem Film Festival Independence Park Jerusalem, 2016

The idea behind the project was to create an immersive experience using animation methods similar to that of a old devices like zoetrope or flip-book animation. The only difference is that instead of the pictures moving, the viewer does. The motion of the zip-line determines the speed of the animation.
